Malayalam actor Joju George suffered a significant injury on the sets of Mani Ratnam’s much-anticipated film Thug Life. While performing a high-risk action sequence involving a helicopter in Puducherry, George fractured his left foot. The actor was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals immobilized his leg in a cast.

Post-treatment, George returned to Kochi to recuperate. The injury mandates several weeks of rest, impacting his immediate shooting schedule. Despite this setback, the production of Thug Life, which features prominent actors including Kamal Haasan, will continue.

Thug Life’s release will undoubtedly be a major event in the Tamil cinema landscape, with audiences keen to see the collaboration of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after a gap of several decades. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film, which also stars Silambarasan. Produced by Madras Talkies and Raaj Kamal Films International, the movie is about a gangster, which is another highlight of the film as the first collaboration between Ratnam and Haasan was also a gangster drama titled Nayagan.
