Fahad Mustafa has been a renowned film and TV star in Pakistan. In 2015, the actor had also decided to focus on movies and was planning to come to Bollywood too. Having made his debut with Na Maloom Afraad, Fahad had told Dawn in 2015 how he planned to make his Bollywood debut. “I am currently working on Mah-e-Meer and will be going to India for another film. It’ll start shooting in the last quarter of this year, probably around September or October. I’ll be releasing more details very soon.” However, the actor couldn’t make it to Bollywood due to the ban imposed on Pakistani actors.

Fahad has always been very vocal about the industry. Even when he took a backseat from acting in dramas, he had expressed concern over tantrums that young actors would show back then. According to a report in Bol News, Fahad had shared, “People have been asking me, why am I not doing dramas? There is a reason for that, and let me tell you why I am afraid of doing television dramas. Well, I have worked with Vasay Chaudhary, Mahira Khan, Mehwish Hayat and Humayun Saeed who are stars already, it is easy to work with stars, there is a reason why they are all stars because they don’t have tantrums, they are easy to work with. In Pakistani industry, young people are difficult to work with; we never saw vanity vans, we used to sit together in one room but now you can’t sit easily with new people and talk to them. I am not talking about their craft, it’s that you cannot get along with them.”

When the actor appeared on the talk show G Sarkar in 2022, he shared the reason behind shifting from regular dramas to hosting. “I felt like I had done too many dramas and I was tired. I was sitting down with Momina Durraid one day and I told her I wanted something that would provide me with a monthly income. I didn’t want to act every day. I didn’t want to wake up and go to a drama set every day. I had memorized my moves at that point. I was doing three dramas in the same location with the same bedroom. Even the bedsheet would remain the same. So, I started doing the morning show. People berated me for that. But, that’s what made me. It taught me discipline and the value of money. If you have the money you start saying no to people, otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to do that,” said Fahad Mustafa.

On the same show, Fahad expressed how acting wasn’t the same anymore. He pointed out that actors were not ready to hear scripts, there was a dearth of supporting actors, and at the same time, it had all become about the money and the wardrobes.

Workwise, Fahad has starred in shows like Kankar, Dusri Biwi, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, and films like Actor In Law, Load Wedding, and Quaidi E Azam Zindabad.
