Actors Ajay Devgn and Tabu, director Neeraj Panday and Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravaani launched the trailer of their upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha in Mumbai on Thursday.

At the event, Ajay hinted that his next film with Rohit Shetty, Singham Again, also starring Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor, will be delayed.

When asked for an update on Singham Again’s progress and whether it will be released on August 15 as scheduled, Ajay Devgn said, “We are not sure because the work on it is still going on. It is not complete. A little bit of shooting is still left to be done also. So we are not in a hurry because jaldbaazi mein kaam kharaab ho jaata hai. As soon as we are ready, we’ll decide.”

Ajay also spoke about doing a romantic film at a time when most actors are looking at starring in action films.

When asked if it is difficult to experiment with different genres when the trend is to do big screen spectacles, Ajay Devgn said that he consciously chooses to do different genres of films and go against the tide.

He said, “More than difficult, I think it is important to stay different. When Neeraj narrated this story, I told him I loved this script. It touches you so much. I said I don’t know commercially what is going to happen. He said that he’ll manage that.”

“Many a times we get that doubt in our mind, but it is important to do something different. I have tried doing that since the beginning. I did Thakshak and Raincoat when no one dared to do something different. I think that kept me going and I have learnt few things from it. It is proving to be useful today,” Ajay concluded.

Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Pandey, is slated to release in theatres on July 5.
