Rumours have been rife for quite some time that Tamil cinema’s beloved couple Suriya and Jyotika are on the verge of divorce. The speculations gained traction when Jyotika decided to move to Mumbai with their children.

Now, clearing the air completely and putting all the rumours to rest, Jyotika has shared a video on social media showing the couple enjoying a delightful vacation in Finland.

The video, compiled from various endearing moments during their romantic getaway, captures the couple exploring different parts of the snowy country. “Life is like a rainbow. Let’s start discovering its colours… Found my white,” she wrote at the start of the video.

From long walks and enjoying the night scenery to snuggling under a blanket and waking up together, to experiencing rides in specially designed vehicles and husky sledges, and exploring the city, the couple made the most of their time in Lapland, the northernmost region of Finland.

Previously, there were speculations that Jyotika moved to Mumbai due to alleged issues with Suriya’s family. However, the Kaathal actor later clarified that the relocation was temporary and driven by her parents’ health concerns.

“During the Covid pandemic, my parents contracted the virus two or three times, and owing to travel restrictions, I couldn’t be with them. Having spent the last 25-27 years in Chennai, away from my family, I felt it was time to bridge that gap and be close to them,” Manorama Online reported quoting Jyotika as saying in an interview with a media house.

“Suriya is a very supportive husband. He wants me to be happy, and he prioritizes the well-being of our kids. He is someone with big perspectives,” she added.

While Jyotika was last seen in Jeo Baby’s Kaathal – The Core (2023), Suriya’s previous film in a lead role was Pandiraj’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan (2022). The two are currently working on Vikas Bahl’s Shaitaan and Siva’s Kanguva, respectively.
