While stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui won Bigg Boss Season 17 last night, it was quite a tough competition between him and Abhishek Kumar. Abhishek, who starred in Udaariyan, was a much-loved contestant this season. However, the tag of a woman beater and staying in that house with ex-girlfriend Isha Malviya made Abhishek’s stay in the house very difficult. Clearing all those hurdles, Abhishek became the runner-up of Bigg Boss 17. Soon after his win, he spoke to Indianexpress.com about his journey on the show. He also shared that he might have to think twice about getting into a relationship again.

Watch his interview here:

Talking about losing the trophy to Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek said, ”I am very happy, but I wanted to win. I was playing to win since the first day. But I am happy that my brother Munawar has won. If anyone else would have won, I would have felt bad.” The two were best friends on the show, and Abhishek spoke about the future of this friendship too. He said, “Our friendship will grow stronger now. I am so fond of him that I never want to see him sad. If he has any problem, he can share it with me.”

Abhishek Kumar also spoke at length about his mental health and claustrophobia being made fun of on the show. He shared, “I never wanted to speak about claustrophobia or mental health on the show. Only Isha knew about my mental health issues and she used it against me. I never expected this from her. Samarth even named my doctor on the show. That felt very bad because I went through it so that I could get her back, but she used it against me.”

When asked if there is room for love in his life, the Bigg Boss 17 runner-up replied, “After all the mistakes I have made, I fear to fall in love again. Now I will think twice before getting into a relationship. I will only fall in love now after knowing the person well, so that will take some time.” Abhishek even shared that he isn’t seeking love now, but wants to focus more on his career, especially after doing so well on the show.

On a parting note, Abhishek Kumar shared how the Bigg Boss journey has changed him and whether he will work on his anger issues. Commenting on this, he said, “Yes, I have changed a lot in this house, and those are all positive changes. Inside the situation is such that you lose your sanity, but now I am calm. After my mother visited, I have been relaxed. All negative things from my life are out now.”
