Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child, a daughter, in September. The couple is now gearing up for the release of their film Singham Again, also starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Ravi Kishan. Recently, the makers held a trailer launch event in Mumbai. At the event, Ranveer shared cute details about his baby duties and surprised his fans as he revealed their baby will mark her debut with the Diwali release.

Addressing the media at the event, Ranveer said, “Deepika is busy with the baby, so its just me who could come.” He added, “My baby duties are for the night,” making the audience cheer and hoot for the actor. Ranveer then revealed, “Along with all the stars you will see in the film, you will also see our baby Simmba making her debut because Deepika was pregnant while shooting for the film.” The actor then wished a Happy Diwali to his fans on behalf of his family. He said, “I wish y’all a Happy Diwali on behalf of Lady Singham and baby Simmba. Please enjoy the movie this Diwali in theatres with your family.”

The makers dropped the film’s first trailer, also featuring Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, and even CID fame Dayanand Shetty, promising a masala family entertainer. Actors Akshay Kumar and Jackie Shroff were missing from the event as they are busy shooting for Housefull 5, informed Ranveer Singh.

Singham Again will mark the return of Ajay Devgn as DCP Bajirao Singham. This movie will also mark the return of Kareena Kapoor into the Singham franchise. There have been rumours that Salman Khan will also have a special appearance in the film as Chulbul Pandey. Singham Again, which is reportedly made on a whopping budget of Rs 350 crore, will hit screens on November 1.
