Within four months of commencing shoot, team Suriya 44 have completed filming for the Karthik Subbaraj directorial. This update was announced by Suriya, who took to his social media handles, to thank the team of his next for giving him a “wholesome, happy shoot”. Suriya also shared pictures of the team, and a monochrome photo featuring him and his director has been going viral on social media. 

Sharing the pictures, Suriya wrote, “A wholesome, happy shoot got done across several locations. Lots of memories with the super talented cast & crew. I made a brother for life, Karthik Subbaraj. Thank you & our team for making Suriya 44 a memorable experience.”

While the teaser of Suriya 44 featured the actor in a retro look with a distinct handlebar moustache, the latest stills from the film has him in an almost clean-shaven look, and it has piqued the interests of the audience to see what exactly Karthik Subbaraj has conjured up in the film.

Backed by Karthik’s Stone Bench Films and Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, Suriya 44 also stars Pooja Hegde, Jayaram, Joju George and Karunakaran. The project has Karthik Subbaraj regulars Santhosh Narayanan as the composer, and Shreyaas Krishna as the cinematographer. 

Suriya 44 marks a number of firsts, including the maiden collaboration between the actor and Karthik Subbaraj, and Santhosh’s first project with the Singam actor.

Meanwhile, Suriya is awaiting the release of his much-awaited big-budget project, Kanguva. Directed by Siva and backed by KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green banner, Kanguva is expected to hit the screens on November 14. Incidentally, the film was supposed to be released on October 10, but the makers decided to reschedule the release date to give space for Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan to have a solo release.
