Actor Trupti Khamkar, who portrayed the character of Inspector Mala in the film Crew starring Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, recently revealed that her scenes would start only after the leading ladies finished shooting and left for home. Trupti explained that since Kareena, Tabu, and Kriti bore the responsibility of maintaining their fitness and flawless appearance without any dark circles, it was essential for them to take care of themselves.

In an interview with Bollywood Now, Trupti said, “The truth is that there is 12 hours of work on every set. The other thing is that if there is Kareena, Tabu, and Kriti, these three need to rest. If they want to reset, they need rest. They need to work out, they have to look fresh. They cannot have under-eye dark circles, they cannot have a little tire on the side, so they have to work out. Tabu wakes up three hours before coming to the set every morning. Before coming, she meditates, goes through her entire ritual, and then comes to the set an hour early so that she has time for her makeup.”

Trupti said that it is her good luck that she got to do scenes with them. The actor said that since Kareena, Tabu and Kriti had the responsibility of looking flawless, they used to wrap and leave the sets to rest and work out for the next day.

She said, “Woh ghar chale jaate the, phir camera ghumta tha, which is logical. Aise sabke paas paanch camera nahi hota na. Camera ghumta tha aur mera kaam hota tha. 30 minutes were enough for me (They used to go home, then the camera would turn, which is logical. Not everyone has five cameras. The camera would turn, and then my work would begin).”

Crew also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kapil Sharma in pivotal roles.
