Internet sensation Orry claimed to have had a rather regular life before becoming famous. While he now has five phones (one of which exists only to be ignored), he said that there was a time when he worked as a shoe salesman at a high-end fashion boutique. He also said that as a child, he was trained in multiple disciplines, including music and self-defence. Orry appeared on the latest episode of Arhaan Khan and Dev Raiyani’s internet show Dumb Biryani, where he chatted about his life, and revealed nuggets of information about his mysterious past.

The episode was framed like a Carpool Karaoke video, but without the music. Arhan, Dev and car builder Mehreen Gandhi ‘picked’ Orry up from the side of the street, and engaged him in conversation. As he stepped in, Arhaan remarked about the five phones in his hand, and Orry said, “I am an important person. I have five managers. Each phone has a different purpose. One phone is just for avoiding people. I have one phone that I’ll give people the number when I’m out. When they call, I’ll say, ‘Yeah, see it rings’. But I’ll never answer it. That phone’s meant for ignoring dude.”

They also ordered coffee on the way, and Arhaan urged everybody to try ‘shroom coffee’. Orry cut him short. He said, “Arhaan, when I agreed to being famous, I made a promise that I will never do anything illegal.” The others burst out into laughter, and assured him that ‘shroom coffee’ doesn’t contain drugs. Orry then spoke about the ‘weird jobs’ that he’s done in his life. He said, “I’ve been a graphic designer, I’ve done accounts before. I worked at the Steve Madden store at the Palladium. There are probably pictures of me showing people shoes and measuring their feet.”

Orry said that he started working at a ‘very young’ age, and that growing up, he was sent to ‘every class possible’. He acknowledged that he was, and said that he trained in the piano and in karate. He also stressed on the importance of staying out of one’s comfort zone, and said, “Being comfortable is the worst thing that you can be. It’s the worst feeling that you can ever have, because being comfortable means being lazy, and you’ll never, ever push yourself. Get uncomfortable, jump off your balcony. Don’t kill yourself, but take the leap.”

Previously, Orry has been rather secretive about his family background, and how he became close to the who’s who in the world of entertainment, business, and politics. He rose to fame after regularly appearing on the Instagram feeds of the rich and famous, before going on to become rich and famous himself. He claimed on Bigg Boss that he makes several lakh rupees from his appearances at celebrity parties, and on Koffee with Karan, he said that he has an entire team of ‘minions’ who manage his life for him.
