Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Billie Eilish enthralled her fans with a power-packed performance at the Coachella Music Valley Festival earlier this month. Following a surprise act alongside Lana Del Rey, she grabbed eyeballs the next day as she took over the stage and she kissed YouTuber Quenlin Blackwell. But that was not all, she also teased her fans with the song “Lunch” from her upcoming album. The song’s lyrics, hint at her queer awakening, saying, “I could eat that girl for lunch / Yeah, she dances on my tongue / Tastes like she might be the one / And I can never get enough.”

And while, people were still discussing the “Lovely” hitmaker’s sexual orientation, she got candid about the track which talks about being in love with women. “That song was actually part of what helped me become who I am, to be real. I wrote some of it before even doing anything with a girl, and then wrote the rest after,” she told The Rolling Stone in a recent interview, adding, “I’ve been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn’t understand — until, last year, I realised I wanted my face in a v*gina.”

The 22-year-old, who won an Oscar for “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie and is gearing up for the release of her third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” also opened up about how much she loves sex. “I should have a Ph.D. in masturbation Partly because it’s hot, but it also makes me have such a raw, deep connection to myself and my body, and have a love for my body that I have not really ever had.”

Billie, who didn’t speak about identifying as a queer person until last year, also slammed Variety for outing her in its interview, published in November 2023. She said she is often “pressured to talk about her sexuality and label herself.” “I was never planning on talking about my sexuality ever, in a million years. It’s really frustrating to me that it came up (sic),” lamented Billie

For the unversed, the  “Bad Guy” singer said she came out in her Variety Power of Women cover story where she revealed that she is attracted to women. During the magazine’s event, Billie revealed that she didn’t intend to make a big deal about her “coming out.” “No I didn’t,” Eilish said. “But I kind of thought, ‘Wasn’t it obvious’? I didn’t realise people didn’t know. I just don’t really believe in it. I’m just like, ‘Why can’t we just exist’? I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I just didn’t talk about it. Whoops (sic),” she revealed at the red carpet, according to Variety.  She continued, “But I saw the article, and I was like, ‘Oh I guess I came out today.’ OK cool. It’s exciting to me because I guess people didn’t know, but it’s cool that they know. “I am for the girls.” She also took to her social media handle to call out the publication.

“I like boys and girls leave me alone about it please literally who cares? It takes a while to find yourself, and I think it’s really unfair, the way that the internet bullies you into talking about who you are and what you are (sic),”she wrote.
