The official teaser of Manoj Bajpayee’s Bhaiyaaji, which dropped on Wednesday, shows the actor in a menacing role. The film is set in Bihar’s Sitamarhi, in 2014, and will see Manoj in a desi avatar, clad in dhoti and with a gamcha on his shoulder. The actor dropped an action-packed teaser on his Instagram account and wrote, “Ab nivedan nahin, narsanhar hoga… aa gayi hai Bhaiyaaji ki pehli jhalak (There won’t petition, there will genocide. The first look of Bhaiyaaji is here).”

The video teaser opens with an injured Manoj, who is playing Bhaiyaaji, surrounded by a group of men wanting to kill him. “Yeh saanp ke jaise aankhon se photo kheench leta hai (He can capture photos through his eyes like a snake),” one of them is heard saying.  When one of the men attacks him with a rod, Bhaiyaaji gets up and his attackers run for their lives. Manoj looks villainous with blood dripping from his forehead, his eyes reflecting menace. He grabs a beedi and starts smoking. Directed by Apoov Singh Karki, the film is all set to release on May 24.
