Singer Bilal Saeed, popular for his song ‘Teri Khair Mangdi’, recently courted controversy as he threw his mic at the crowd during a concert at the Punjab Group of Colleges’ (PGC) Youth Musical Festival in Phalia, Pakistan. Though the singer addressed the incident in his latest social media post, he refrained from apologising for his action.

In a viral video from the concert, Bilal is seen performing on the stage when some boys in the crowd start misbehaving. After ignoring them for a bit, the singer loses patience and throws his mic at them. After this, he also walks out of the stage, stalling the concert midway.

After being called out by people on social media for disrespecting the fans, the singer released a statement stating that he ‘regrets’ leaving the stage, but doesn’t apologise for his actions.

While sharing pictures of himself from the concert, he wrote on Instagram, “The stage has always been my whole world; I have always felt the most complete and the most alive while performing! I forget my sickness, stress, worries- I leave everything behind when I perform for my fans. And no matter what, nothing should have come in the way of me and the respect that my stage deserved from me.”

He concluded, “I love my fans and sometimes that love can be overwhelming for both sides. It wasn’t the first time someone was misbehaving in the crowd but it was definitely the first time I gave the wrong reaction! I should have never left the stage.” Bilal ended his post with the hashtag, “#theshowmustgoon ❤️.”
