With three months to go for the release of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, the makers are ensuring that the buzz around the film stays alive. On Wednesday, the first teaser of the film was released and from the look of it, the audience is in for a thrilling ride with the film.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan teaser begins with a masked man announcing the looming danger over India but Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, who play soldiers in the film, are out to protect the country from the miscreants. They announce in the teaser, “Dil se soldier, dimaag se shaitaan hain hum. Bachke rehna hum se, Hindustan hain hum.” The video also gives a glimpse of the action-packed sequences of the film and declares that the “real action heroes are back”. They are up against a masked villain (Prithviraj Sukumaran) who warns of pralay (cataclysm) amid photos of blasts and chaos.

The background score of the film has a touch of the 1998 film of the same name, which starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in the lead roles. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is written and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film has been shot in different locations, including Scotland, London, India, Jordan and the UAE.

Speaking about the teaser, Zafar shared, “Extreme hard work and commitment of shooting in multiple countries with the most talented crew from different parts of the world has gone behind bringing Bade Miyan Chote Miyan to the audiences and who better than Akshay Sir and Tiger, India’s original action heroes who would translate the challenging sequences so effortlessly and yet root the film to its target mass audience. More than thrilled to bring this film for their fans and audiences on big screens on Eid April 2024”.

Before releasing the teaser, the makers also released a motion poster and a poster of the film which showcased both Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in their chiselled avatars. Besides the two stars, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chillar, and Alaya F. The pan-India action-drama is backed by a team of producers, including Jacky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Ali Abbas Zafar, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Sarwar Mohammed.

Bhagnani said that he wants the film to be India’s answer to the Fast and Furious franchise. “When it comes to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, I thought, I want to make India’s Hobbs & Shaw, I want to make India’s Fast & Furious – large scale action, with comedy amongst the characters rather than in the plot,” he previously told PTI.

Though the film’s title is the same as the Amitabh Bachchan-Govinda starrer 1998 film, the new film has no connection to the old one. “It has nothing to do with the old film but there’s a reason why it’s called Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. There is a very interesting twist in the film, which may act as an ode to the old Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” Bhagnani said.
