Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi were among the first ones to surprise their fans with secretive wedding, well before Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal. The couple tied the knot in May 2018, “without having dated a single day.” They began as friends, though Angad had admired Neha for years. After all these years of marriage, the couple sat down for a formal interview, giving a sneak peek into their playful chemistry.
In a recent interview for Eurosport, where Neha played the role of interviewer, the couple discussed Angad’s passion for biking. He shared how movies like Top Gun: Maverick inspired him to embrace the open road. Neha chimed in, “Watching such movies makes you want to take your bike and go there,” to which Angad humorously responded, “After seven years with you, I’m ready to hop on a bike and leave in a hurry.” Neha laughed and retorted, “Go ahead, but wear a helmet and don’t speed! Just take your time.” She added, “The more you want to leave, the less I’ll try to stop you. Don’t expect me to pull dramatic lines like, ‘No, you can’t leave me.’”
Angad then playfully interrupted, saying, “I left home early today just to talk to you here.” Neha quickly shot back, “Angad, don’t throw these romantic curveballs during the interview—they’re not needed!”

Their lighthearted banter included a fun game where Angad had to choose between two options posed by Neha. During the entire game, he kept ditching options which included his wife. At the end of the game, Angad had to choose between “a painful root canal treatment” or “Spending time with your wife”, Angad chose the former, explaining, “How will you bear the pain?”
The couple tied the knot in May, 2018. Speaking about her secret wedding, Neha told Film Companion, “We didn’t date for a single day of our lives. I swear! I am saying this on record: we did not date for a single day of our lives. We’ve been friends, and we’ve seen each other through different relationships. He’s all heart, and then, right before I left Roadies, I was like, he’s not bad, he’s amazing. I love him. He always had a piece of my heart, but not like that.”
She further revealed, soon after the switch happened, their families met in New Delhi and the next thing she knew was that their wedding date was set. Recalling the experience, Neha called it a “mess”. In November, 2018, the couple welcomed a daughter, Mehr Dhupia Bedi, and in 2021, they had their son, Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi.
