There are multiple ways for actors to become superstars in Indian cinema. If some take the action route, some take the comedy route, and some others take the quintessential mass masala route. But then there is this route that is the toughest to crack, and yet leaves an endearing and enduring impact. It is the path of starring in relatable films. Roles that make the audience go ‘I know someone like that in my life’ or ‘I am that someone in someone else’s life’. This is the path that actor Manikandan has chosen for himself in Tamil cinema. After winning hearts with films like Jai Bhim, Good Night, and Lover, Manikandan has announced his next with debutant director Rajeshwar Kalisamy, who is known for helming the content for famous Tamil YouTube channel, Nakkalites.
