The grand finale of The Great Indian Kapil Show saw Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan and his mother, Mala Tiwari, in attendance. Recently, Kapil Sharma released a behind-the-scenes video of the show where he reminisced about shooting different episodes with various star guests. In the clip, the comedian revealed that he pursued Aamir Khan for six months to appear on the show.

The clip shows glimpses of the episode featuring Aamir Khan. Sharing his experience of shooting the episode, Kapil said, “When we would come on TV, we would shoot 8 episodes in a month. But this time, we shot one episode, featuring Aamir Khan, for over 8 months. Initially, we ran after him to shoot the episode for six months, then he ran after us for 2 months to show him the episode and how it turned out. But that episode was really appreciated.” During the episode, Aamir, known for keeping his personal life private, shared various unheard anecdotes from his personal and professional life.

In the same BTS clip, Kartik’s mom, Mala, shared how Kartik’s strict diet for his latest film, Chandu Champion, bothered her. She revealed that to prevent Kartik from being tempted, they too deprived themselves of his favorite dish, chole bhature. She said, “Every mother will feel bad if her kid is not being allowed to eat properly, but later I understood it was for the film. He loves Chole Bhature, but we didn’t cook this dish for a year to prevent him from having any temptation. So, he did the diet for his body, and we did the diet for him.”

Recently, Kapil announced that The Great Indian Kapil Show will be back with Season 2. However, the makers haven’t announced the exact date of the new season.
