Legendary French luxury-goods conglomerate Cartier has unveiled its new Nature Sauvage High Jewellery collection and, as part of its promotions, released a new advertisement featuring Bollywood icon Deepika Padukone. In the commercial, she appears radiant and elegant in five different outfits of varied shades, each adorned with Cartier jewellery inspired by various animals.
Despite being only 15 seconds long, the commercial has gone viral on social media, with many praising the Fighter actor’s stunning appearance and the way she exudes charm wearing the ornaments. Soon after the commercial appeared on Reddit, numerous fans flocked to the comment section to commend the actor for effortlessly showcasing the pieces.
One user noted that an Indian remake of the 2015 American comedy-drama The Intern, with Deepika reprising the lead character originally played by Anne Hathaway, would be a good idea as she looks so powerful in suits. “DP > diamond jewellery,” one Redditor wrote, while another mentioned, “She looks gorgeous. The brand’s global ambassador since October, 2022, Padukone recently spoke to Harper’s Bazaar India about the new collection. “The collection presents a theatre of apparitions, where precious animals are parading. It is almost as if the different animal characters in the collection are the actors of the collection, playing with graphics and optical illusions in an imaginary world,” she said.
“It reveals a variety of animals from Cartier’s previous collections, but I didn’t discover (them) before. One of the pendants can be transformed into a turtle brooch. It is very playful; the pieces have some incredible craftsmanship and exceptional stones,” she mentioned.
“My favourite piece is the Koaga necklace, inspired by the zebra. The zebra really comes to life by the stylised lines of the design and the black and white are contrasted by an impressive pear-shaped rubellite,” Padukone added.
