Vijay, who recently ventured into politics, hinted at retiring from acting after completing his current commitments. While the first song “Whistle Podu”, sung by the Tamil star for the Venkat Prabhu directorial film was unveiled on April 14, no updates about the release of the second song has been shared yet. The first song received praises from all corners. This is not the first time when Vijay has lent his voice to songs. Previously, the actor has crooned songs for his films Nilaave Vaa (1998), Selva (1996), Kuruvi (2008), and Priyamudan (1998), among others.

Ever since the makers announced The GOAT, they have been sharing regular updates and BTS photos from the film’s set. In GOAT, Thalapathy Vijay will be seen playing dual role, both the younger and older versions of himself. The film, produced by AGS Entertainment, will also star Prashanth, Prabhudeva, Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan and Jayaram, among others.

The GOAT is all set to release in theatres on September 5, 2024.
