In a turn of events that left actress Gauahar Khan and her husband Zaid Darbar irked, their son Zehaan’s first birthday party was marred by an unexpected intrusion from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). What was supposed to be a joyous celebration at a posh Mumbai hotel, complete with a jungle-themed entrance gate welcoming guests to a world of fun and excitement, quickly took a dramatic turn.

In the videos, widely surfaced on social media, the BMC officials, objecting to the makeshift gate erected on the footpath outside the party venue, demanded its immediate removal. Initially, the hotel staff and event organisers refused to comply, leading to a heated argument. However, the authorities soon took matters into their own hands and began dismantling the gate before loading the debris onto a truck and driving away with it.

Amidst the chaos, Zaid intervened, allowing the BMC officials to take the decor in an attempt to diffuse the situation and avoid further drama.

Among those in attendance were popular television actors Mahhi Vij, Hina Khan, Debina Bonnerjee, and Pankhuri Awasthy, who were accompanied by their children. Despite the altercation with the BMC, the party continued. Neither Gauahar nor Zaid has released an official statement regarding the incident.
