Hollywood actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s middle child has come out with their new name for the first time. Formerly Seraphina Rose, the 15-year-old made their new name, Fin Affleck, public during a memorial service of their grandfather.

According to Hello magazine, they introduced themselves as Fin to the congregation at Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, West Virginia on Saturday April 6. The service, which was live streamed on Facebook, was held for Jennifer Garner’s father William, who died at the age of 85.

At the service, Fin appeared wearing a black suit and tie and had their hair in a buzzcut, a look which they were clicked in earlier this year. The video from the memorial service shows Fin going to the altar and reading a chapter from the Bible. It is before this reading, that they say, “Hello my name is Fin Affleck.”

Fin’s siblings Violet and Samuel, along with their cousins were also present. All of them read a verse from the Book of Proverbs, “one of their grandfather’s favorites”, claimed the magazine report.

On April 2, Jennifer Garner had announced the passing away of her father in an emotional Instagram post. “There is so much to say about my dad— my sisters and I will never be done talking about how wonderful he was, so bear with us— but for today I share these memories with my appreciation for the kind and brilliant man, father, and grandfather he was, as well as the loving legacy he left behind,” a part of her caption read.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were married from 2005 till 2018. In 2022, ben Affleck tied the knot with Jennifer Lopez.
