Ahead of the conclusion of Shark Tank India Season 3, an episode dedicated to environmental products and companies promoting protection and sustainability will be aired. A recently surfaced promo video provides a sneak peek into this upcoming episode, which features three ecopreneurs showcasing their innovative products to the Sharks.

The promo video begins by introducing viewers to Cool The Globe, a carbon handprint app that helps people reduce their carbon footprint. “How can we be eco-friendly in our day-to-day lives?” asks its ecopreneur, before explaining to the Sharks that the app presents over 100 different ways to adopt eco-friendly practices in daily life.

The second venture showcased in the promo video is Digital Paani, an IoT-enabled platform that tracks and, with the right expertise, manages the health of treatment plants. “We treat 90 million litres of wastewater at Digital Paani power plants on a daily basis,” the pitcher adds.

The third company featured in the promo video is the bio-material science company Canvaloop. According to its ecopreneurs, Canvaloop takes agricultural waste and turns it into textile fibres using zero-waste proprietary technology. The pitchers also show boAt CEO Aman Gupta a pair of jeans that textile giant Levi’s created with 20 per cent Canvaloop fibre.

However, once the Sharks begin grilling the pitchers, the Shark Tank floor heats up once again. “Are you profitable?” Namita Thapar asks the Digital Paani pitchers, to which they respond no, making the Sharks raise eyebrows.

“Are you an environmental activist or do you genuinely want to build a business?” Shaadi.com CEO Anupam Mittal asks Cool The Globe ecopreneurs, to which she responds that she started off as an activist. “Humare paas sirf 30 saal hai, climate change ke worst effects avoid karne ke liye. Ye hume 30 saal mein kar dikhana hai toh hume ise entrepreneur ke jaise dekhna padega… Not just personally but as a world (We only have 30 years to avoid the worst effects of climate change. We need to see it as entrepreneurs… Not just personally, but as a global community, to achieve this within 30 years),” she adds.

As Anupam asks the Canvaloop team how much they want, the pitcher says he doesn’t have the exact figure, leaving the Shark surprised. “Aapko itni badi company banani hai. 1 lakh tonne ka capacity ka plant dalna hai. Aapko yeh nahi pata hai aapko paise kitne daalne hai (You want to establish such a big company. You need to install a plant with a capacity of 1 lakh tonne. Don’t you know how much money you need to invest),” he asks.

“Which revolutionary idea will seal the deal with the Sharks tonight?” asks the promo video, setting the stage for the high-octane episode that will be aired on Monday.
