Actor Sunil Grover has had a very interesting journey to stardom — from exploring theatre to doing TV and eventually  venturing into films. The year 2023 saw him becoming a part of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, and his patch-up with Kapil Sharma after the two had a bitter falling out in 2017.

The two buried the rift professionally and will be coming together for a show on Netflix. While it is said to be a comedy show, not much is known about it. So far, what is clear is that Kapil will be joined by his team from The Kapil Sharma Show. In an interview with Indianexpress.com, Sunil recently opened up about his patch-up with Kapil Sharma.

When asked if all was good between him and Kapil now, Sunil said, “I think so.” He even shared that they will update the audience soon about their upcoming show and shared, “We will soon announce more details on the show and talk about it.”

Revisiting how he dealt with questions about Kapil and their infamous fight, and its press coverage, Sunil said, “Initially, I would get disturbed, but not anymore. I know the truth so what someone says or understands, is their problem, not mine. Those who point fingers, what is their credibility? If I need to answer something, I will do so, but usually there is no need for an explanation. They don’t have a full understanding of the matter, no facts, they are just saying something because it’s their job. Writing negative things grabs more attention. They will all understand eventually.”

In 2017, Kapil got into a nasty fight with Sunil Grover and Chandan Prabhakar while they were on a flight returning from Melbourne. Reportedly, Kapil was under the influence of alcohol when he hit Sunil with a shoe and also slapped him. While Sunil kept his calm and endured the physical and verbal abuse from Kapil, he chose to part ways with the comedian soon after. Now, seven years later, the two are coming together again.
