Arjun Kapoor and sister Anshula Kapoor recently honoured the memory of their late mother, Mona Kapoor, who passed away in 2012. Anshula was seen participating in a spoken word fest where she said a few words in the memory of her mother. As Arjun heard her speak, he got emotional and wiped away his tears.

Tujhe jo banna hai, tujhe jo karna hai, tu kar (Be whatever you want to be). She always sad no matter what you do with your life, just make sure your heart is singing. Thank you for listening to her voice and mine. Rab rakha,” she said.

After Anshula got down from the stage, she and Arjun hugged each other and broke down. They shared the video on Instagram with the caption, “As our Mom always said… Rab Rakha ❤️✨”

As soon as they posted the video, it received a lot of love from their family members and friends. Their father Boney Kapoor shared in the comments section, “Love you too much my bachha ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗😘😘😘”. Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, who are Arjun and Anshula’s half-sisters, dropped a bunch of heart emojis in support as Khushi wrote, “Love you.” Ayushmann Khurrana, Bobby Deol, Diana Penty, Abhishek Bachchan and many others dropped heart emojis in the comments section.

Mona Kapoor passed away in March 2012 after a long battle with cancer. Mona died just a few days before the release of Arjun’s debut film, Ishaqzaade. Arjun remembered his late mother on her recent birth anniversary and shared in the caption, “Happy Birthday to our everything 🫶❤️ She would have been sweet 60 today and would have been rocking smiling and spreading happiness all around… Love u Maa till we meet again like u always say Rab Rakha”

Anshula also shared a note on her mother’s memory that read, “The first love of my life, my entire universe, my Ma, would have been 60 today. ❤️ Happy birthday Mom. We love you. I wish I could hug you one more time, listen to you say you love me one more time, just hold your hands and watch you laugh one more time. I hope you could enjoy your day with Kadi Chawal & Gulab Jamun wherever you are. Miss you everyday. Love you beyond measure. Rab Rakha ♾️”.
