How did megastar Chiranjeevi feel when he learnt that he had been conferred with Padma Vibhushan? The actor says a bit empty, which led him to be “excited”– an emotion which changed when he saw the outpouring of love coming his sway.
Chiranjeevi was conferred with Padma Vibhushan for his contributions to Indian cinema, last month. On Sunday, as he was felicitated by the Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, the actor gave an emotional speech.

But it was “truly the support”, Chiranjeevi said, that he received after the award that made “my heart fill with joy.” The actor said many people-from the film industry, various organizations and associations to politicians–congratulated him. “It is the love that was showered upon me in this last week or so that gave me so much more happiness than actually receiving the award.”

Chiranjeevi said the love he received from his well-wishers made him feel “satisfied” with life. “I felt like this life was enough now. It felt as if some blessing of a lifetime had led me to this. The encouragement and the excitement that the award failed to give me, I got from the support of the people. It must be some blessings from my parents,” he added.
On Saturday, Chiranjeevi attended a party hosted in his honour by daughter-in-law Upasana Kamineni Konidela, where several people from the film industry were seen including his son Ram Charan and actor Nagarjuna.
On the work-front, Chiranjeevi was last seen in Bholaa. He will next be seen in Vishwambhara, which is set to be released in theatres on January 10, 2025.
