Kate Middleton and King Charles III are back home.

Kensington Palace announced Monday morning that the Princess of Wales has returned to Windsor Castle nearly two weeks after undergoing a planned abdominal surgery.

“She is making good progress,” a spokesperson shared.

The statement included thanks and appreciation for the staff at the London Clinic, where Middleton, 42, underwent the operation.

“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well-wishes they have received from around the world,” the rep concluded.

A smiling Charles, 75, was photographed leaving the same hospital with his wife, Queen Camilla, Monday afternoon, three days after his procedure for an enlarged prostate.

“‘His Majesty would like to thank the medical team and all those involved in supporting his hospital visit, and is grateful for all the kind messages he has received in recent days,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

Middleton will not return to her official duties until she is medically cleared to do so — likely not until Easter, while Charles “has rescheduled forthcoming public engagements to allow for a period of private recuperation,” according to the palace.

Prince William, meanwhile, will resume his royal engagements once his wife’s care and recovery are settled.

It is unclear what exactly Middleton was treated for, though reported it was not related to cancer.

Despite Kensington Palace saying the princess’ surgery was “planned,” those closest to her had no idea it was coming.

People reported last week that “there had been no indication that anything was wrong” with Middleton prior to her hospitalization on Jan. 16, with sources saying the news “came as a surprise” to family friends as well as people who “work closely” with the royals.

The former Duchess of Cambridge was last seen in public on Christmas Day when she and the Prince of Wales, 41, took their three children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, to church.

The magazine noted that Middleton appeared to be OK as recently as Jan. 9 when she celebrated her birthday privately with family at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, England.

“She is in great hands and will have lots of care and support at home,” a source close to the royal family said, noting that the Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, would “be a reassuring presence” at Windsor.

Charles shockingly announced one day after his daughter-in-law underwent surgery that he also needed to go under the knife to treat a benign prostate issue.

Camilla, 76, was seen visiting the monarch three times within 24 hours after his operation.
