Filmmaker Prasanth Varma’s HanuMan is unstoppable at the box-office. On Sunday (day 17), the Teja Sajja starrer minted an impressive Rs 7.70 crore. This marks an increase of more than 18 per cent from the previous day’s collection of Rs 6.50 crore. After a decent opening, there was a massive jump in the collections, thanks to positive word-of-mouth. HanuMan collected Rs 100 crore in the first week and Rs 58 crore in the second week. According to Sacnilk, HanuMan has minted Rs 1.07 crore on Monday, as per estimates published at 6 pm. The total collection in India stands at Rs 173.77 crore. 

The makers of HanuMan recently took to social media and revealed that the film has minted Rs 250 crore worldwide. Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabala reported that the movie is now marching closer to the Rs 275 crore mark.

The film clashed with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram at the box office. According to Sacnilk, Guntur Kaaram’s total collection in India stands at Rs 123 crore. Ayalaan, Captain Miller and Merry Christmas among other films also released on the same day. Despite the clash, HanuMan emerged as a clear winner and garnered a positive response from the audience. 

Prasanth Varma recently opened up about clashing with Mahesh Babu and Trivikram. He said in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, “We were stuck because Anil Thadani had already confirmed our Hindi release here, so we could not move. We wanted to move, but we were stuck here. There were times when three films got released, and all three films were big hits.”

The superhero film also stars Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, and Raj Deepak Shetty in pivotal roles.
