India’s favourite ‘jiju’ didn’t come alone. Nick Jonas brought his band together on their India tour at the Lollapalooza India event in Mumbai on Saturday. The Jonas Brothers closed day one of the second edition with fans swaying, cheering and singing to the group’s popular tunes.

Held at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse, the two-day music extravaganza kickstarted on Saturday with the first-ever performance of artists such as the Jonas Brothers and Halsey on the Indian stage.

“This is our very first time performing in India. The sangeet doesn’t count,” said Nick, tongue-in-cheek, referring to his 2018 pre-wedding ceremony with Priyanka Chopra.

The Priyanka-Nick connection was captured by an attendee as well. A member displayed a placard that read, “Priyanka won’t be jealous if you say you love me.”

Jonas Brothers, a band comprising Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, took the stage to ‘Gallan Goodiyaan’ from Priyanka Chopra-starrer Dil Dhadakne Do. The crowd erupted with chants of “Jiju, jiju” to elicit a blushed response from Nick.

“Two incredible nights at Lollapalooza. This crowd is incredible, not just now but all day long. If you’ve been here all day, make some noise and if you’re going to be here all day, make some noise,” said Nick as the band played songs from their first album SOS and singles such as “Waffle House”, “What a Man Gotta Do” and more.

The second edition of the festival brings an array of unique, diverse, and exciting flavours from the world to the forefront, with over 35 artists from India and across the globe all set to play on four stages.
