Malaika Arora recently served a perfect dose of nostalgia to her fans as she shared pictures with her MTV gang, including her sister Amrita Arora, Mini Mathur, Cyrus Sahukar, Anusha Dandekar, Cyrus Boracha, Shenaz Treasury, Preeta Sukhtankar and Maria Goretti, among others. They had the “greatest reunion of all time” but had an “intruder” in Gaurav Kapoor. For the uninitiated, Gaurav started his career as a VJ for Channel V.

Sharing a group picture from the reunion, Malaika wrote on Instagram, “The greatest union of all time… how blessed am I to have worked on the same channel as these talented souls! Thank you for the best day! Posting this picture with so many others.” Shehnaz also shared photos and videos from the get-together with her former colleagues, and asked her fans on social media if they recognise the ‘OG VJs’.

“An afternoon well spent! Anyone remember the OG VJs?? Recognise anyone here? ;),” Shenaz captioned her post. In one of the videos, Anusha Dandekar is also seen cutting a cake which reads, “OGs + GK MTV Enjoy.” Mini Mathur shared a photo which had Malaika, Cyrus Broacha, Cyrus Sahukar, Shenaz and Mini pouting and posing for a picture. Preeta Sukhtankar called the lot a bunch of “noisy VJs” as they all tried to click a selfie.

Reacting to the photos and videos of the ‘OG’ VJs, Rannvijay Singha commented, “These guys were the coolest.” A fan also wrote, “U guys r not ageing!! Wt ru all vampires?😍” A comment on Shenaz’s post read, “Omgg seriously feeling old now😅😂😂.” “Seriously nostalgic. Grew up with you all guys (90s teen). 90s were the best. Music, TV, channels, the VJs. What do the millennials / Gen Y / Gen Z know 💁🏻‍♂️” read another comment.

Malaika Arora shared a closer look of the cake.

Malaika Arora, along with Cyrus Broacha and Mini Mathur, were the pioneers of video jockeying on Indian television when MTV was launched in India in the 90s. Malaika and Cyrus hosted shows like Love Line and Style Check. Cyrus Sahukar and Cyrus Broacha also hosted the MTV Bakra, where they pulled off some hilarious pranks on people.
