Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan share a close bond. The two oblige with special appearances in each other’s films and are often seen sharing candid moments together in the public space. Recently, an old video of the two actors surfaced on the internet which has Shah Rukh crediting Salman and his family for his success.

The viral video has Shah Rukh clarifying that though Salman looks older to him, he is the elder one between the two. He said, “He is younger to me by a month and a half. Ye dadagiri se khada hota hai toh sab samajhte hain bada bhai hai, par hai nahi ye (He stands with a lot of attitude, so everyone assumes that he is the elder brother. But he is not).” While SRK was born on November 2, 1965, Salman was born on December 27, 1965.

Shah Rukh then credited Salman’s family for taking care of him in Mumbai and blessing him with their best wishes. “He is more than an elder brother. His family has taken care of me. Maine sirf dhakke nahi khaaye hain, inke ghar ka khaana bhi khaaya hai (I have not only struggled, but I have also eaten at Salman’s house.) Salim uncle blessed me and I would say because I ate food at his home, I have become successful and have become Shah Rukh Khan,” Shah Rukh added.

Salman Khan thanked his contemporary for his ‘kind’ words and added, “Thank you for these kind words Shah Rukh but your destiny is your destiny and nobody can take that away from you.” Salman and Shah Rukh were recently seen together on the silver screen in Tiger 3. The two also appeared together in the biggest hit of 2023, Pathaan.

Shah Rukh Khan had a great 2023 as all his three releases of the year, Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki, became blockbuster hits. However, Salman’s two releases of the year, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tiger 3 couldn’t create magic at the box office.
