Talking about why he chose to participate in Bigg Boss 18, Karanveer said, “The kind of fame and popularity this show exudes, and the reach it has, is why I wanted to be a part of it. Also, I have this fear that Salman sir would just turn around and say one day that he wouldn’t host the show anymore. So it’s better to be on the show when he is doing it.

He added, “I will also discover how I am when I go inside. The kind of line we are in, we always want to emulate somebody. We all want to be like SRK, Salman, Aamir, and Amitabh Bachchan at some point. But in a house like Bigg Boss, we might realize that we may be a villain too. I don’t know how will I react, it all depends on the co-contestants. I am also waiting to explore different sides of me which I am also scared of.”

Karanveer Mehra also revealed what quality in people makes him angry. “We are all consumed by looking good. We don’t want to come across as bad, but I don’t do that, and I think that is both a positive and a negative trait about me. I feel that would last for a few days and then you have to call a spade, a spade. I am a Punjabi, and I go by the idea that first, I won’t mess around with anyone, but if someone does it with me, then I won’t leave them either. It angers me when people are not flexible, and stick to being rigid. In life to progress, you have to come mid-way. Also respect, if you lose that in any relationship then, it angers me. We were taught that you should respect your elders, but today that idea is questioned.”

Lastly, Karanveer Mehra addressed his recent controversy with Asim Riaz. He said, “I am an 80s kid. We are used to breaking bones with a bat. I don’t enjoy this war of words on Twitter. Just because you have gotten some money and hired a PR, people don’t it unnecessarily. It is all futile. Asim is not a bad guy, he is just living up to his image, but all of this has no value. If he had the guts, he wouldn’t have waited this long. Salman Khan has guts. Nobody can dare tell him anything because you see that vibration coming from him. But with Asim, anybody can come, tell him things and leave.”
