Keke Palmer and Law Roach may have different visions, but it’s “always love” between them.

During Wednesday night’s panel discussion for his new book, “How to Build a Fashion Icon: Notes on Confidence from the World’s Only Image Architect,” which is now available, the self-proclaimed “Image Architect” recalled the time Palmer once said he was “not the best stylist for [her].”

Even though their previous partnership “didn’t quite work out,” the pair reunited to collaborate on a look shortly after Palmer became pregnant with her first child.

“I’m like, ‘Oh, let’s show the baby bump,'” Roach, 46, told the room. “I’m bringing all these clothes and I could never get the clothes right. And one time she actually called me, she said, ‘You might be the best stylist in the world, but you’re not the best stylist for me.’ I f–king loved it.”

He said the pair collaborated for a look after Palmer became pregnant with her son.

As the crowd erupted with laughter, Palmer, 31, interjected lovingly, “Law lives for a drag!”

“I love it, I love it,” Roach agreed.”But she was right though because in my mind I had this idea of how I wanted to present her. I wanted her to be proud of the baby bump and show it off.”

He continued, “And it was her personal prerogative, she didn’t want to give it to the world yet. So I will always love you.”

Palmer revealed she had given birth to her first baby, son Leodis Andrellton Jackson, last February. She shares her baby boy with Darius Jackson.

In July 2023, the “Nope” star opened up about her fashion metamorphosis as she was learning to become comfortable with her postpartum curves.

“After having my baby, I’ve just gotten so much more powerful. I’m just so strengthened in a crazy way. Strutting my stuff, enjoying,” Palmer said in an interview with The Cut — which was published days after Jackson publicly shamed her for wearing a curve-hugging dress to an Usher concert.

“I’ll be honest, I think before I even had the baby, I was really actually quite self-conscious.”

During Wednesday’s discussion, Palmer reflected on the evolution of her personal style, saying she doesn’t know if it’s “changed” with motherhood or “come back around to who I’ve always been.”

“I think it’s one of those things where I was always kind of a serious kid,” she told the crowd. “I was just always so ready to go to an office.”

“I think as I got older and I was trying to figure out the differences between myself and my characters. And I was like, I want to try something different, I want to try something new to see if I am who I think that I am,” she continued.

“And that was fun and enjoyable, but I think I ended up just always finding myself back to the big boss I’ve always been. I’m ready to run a company, you know what I mean?

“I’m that personality, and so I think it’s very black Americana, it’s a little traditional. There’s some fun and some props here and there, but it’s just very much so that fierce bitch coming to take over.”
