Taylor Swift fans believe she gave boyfriend Travis Kelce a not-so-subtle nod on National Boyfriend Day.
On Thursday, the pop star dropped her “Greatest In the League” merch collection — inspired by a line from her song “The Alchemy,” which is rumored to be about her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs player.
The collection in question includes several styles of sweatshirts and sweatpants featuring her “Tortured Poets Department” logo and cast in the album’s color palette of black, white, beige and gray.
After Taylor Nation announced the drop on X, fans quickly put two and two together.
“Taylor Swift chose to release ‘The Greatest in the League’ merch collection today, on National Boyfriend Day,” one user pointed out.
“Literally only Taylor would release a ‘greatest in the league’ collection on National BF day when her BF’s team is 4-0 currently,” another person tweeted.
“taylor releasing a the greatest in the league merch collection on national boyfriend’s [sic] day and the weekend of her boyf’s birthday??? oh taycomedian,” a third chimed in.
“and calling it ‘the greatest in the league collection’ after the ‘he’s washed’ allegations she’s the funniest person ever in fact,” someone else added, referencing the backlash over Kelce’s slow start of the 2024 NFL season.
Others, meanwhile, suggested the merch was Swift’s way of “shutting down breakup rumors.”
People began speculating about the pair’s relationship status after Swift skipped Kelce’s last two football games — which were held in Atlanta and Los Angeles, respectively.
Her absence raised eyebrows, as she had attended Kelce’s first two games of the season at Arrowhead Stadium.

However, insiders later told that Swift’s no-show wasn’t a sign of trouble in paradise.
A source told us the “Fortnight” singer’s schedule has ramped up over the last couple of weeks as she prepares the restart of her Eras Tour, which kicks off again on October 18 in Miami.
Swift closed the European leg of her international tour in August.
We’re also told there were some safety concerns about Swift attending Kelce’s games in the opposing teams’ stadiums — especially after her shows in Vienna were canceled due to a terrorist threat.
“If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns,” a source told us.
“She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.”
However, Swift, who began dating Kelce last summer, is rumored to be back in Missouri this weekend for the tight end’s 35th birthday and Monday night football game.
