Celebrity couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli challenged each other to a game of cricket in a new promotional video for a sportswear brand, where Virat found himself ducking for cover after nearly being clean-bowled by Anushka. The actor, on the other hand, thought that she was looking like a ‘lulu’ as Virat knocked a ball right at her during their fun match. Anushka began the challenge by listing out a string of rules, all of which were skewed in her favour. The video was shared by both Virat and Anushka on their Instagram accounts, as well as on the Puma India Instagram.
“Virat, I think I can beat you at cricket,” Anushka tells him, as they set up a box against a brick wall, in what looks like England. Anusha then read out her rules: “Rule one, you miss the ball thrice, you’re out. Rule two, if the ball strikes you on the body thrice, you’re out. Rule three, if you make a bad expression, you’re out. And rule four, if you whack the ball really hard…”

Virat tells her to stop, and to get on with the game. Anushka takes to the crease, and gets bowled out twice in a row. After Anushka stars coming up with new rules on the spot, Virat throws up his arms and quits in a huff. “I’m not playing,” he says, as Anushka tells him the final rule, that he’ll have to retrieve the ball that he has knocked into the distance. “If you get angry, you’re out,” she says, as Virat walks off.

The video ends with a couple of outtakes, which show both Anushka and Virat cracking up during their match. Virat seems to be displeased with a stroke, which he describes as a ‘lassi shot’, as Anushka says that she looks like a ‘lulu’ while bowling to him. She also delivers an unplayable ball, which leaves Virat impressed. Later, he is forced to duck for cover when she delivers a bouncer. “Phodke ke chakkar mein ho kya (You want to crack my skull or what)?” he asks with a laugh.
Virat and Anushka have shifted base to the United Kingdom, which is where she gave birth to their second child, son Akaay. They are also parents to daughter Vamika.
