Since becoming a mother, Deepika Padukone has stepped back from the limelight but frequently shares her thoughts through memes and Instagram videos. Recently, as her husband Ranveer Singh returned to work days after the birth of their baby girl, she posted an Instagram story expressing her eagerness for his return.
The video story shows a child anxiously peering out the window with binoculars, accompanied by the caption, “Me when my husband says he’ll be home by 5:00, and it’s already 5:01.” This cute clip humorously illustrates the actor’s impatience as she awaits Ranveer’s return to home. She shared the story with a smiley face and tagged Ranveer’s Instagram handle.

Ranveer recently made his first public appearance since the arrival of his baby girl at an event organized by the Reliance Foundation and Nita Ambani. In a viral video from the occasion, he can be seen acknowledging congratulations from the paparazzi with his hands folded as they cheered for him. He even approached the photographers to shake their hands and declared, “Baap ban gaya re (I have become a father).”
Ranveer and Deepika welcomed their baby girl on September 8. They announced her arrival with a sweet note on Instagram; however, they haven’t unveiled the baby’s name yet. The note read, “Welcome baby girl. 8-9-2024.” The couple tied the knot in 2018 in an extravagant ceremony at Italy’s Lake Como.
On the professional front, the couple will next be seen together in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which also stars Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor. Ranveer is also preparing for Uri fame Aditya Dhar’s untitled action thriller. The film will also star Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in leading roles.
