Dave Grohl shares three kids with his wife, Jordyn Blum. The Foo Fighters rocker also shocked the world when he announced the arrival of his fourth child with a mistress.
The musician and Blum, who wed in 2003, are parents to daughters Violet Maye, Harper Willow and Ophelia Saint.
On Sept. 10, 2024, Grohl revealed he welcomed another baby girl outside of his marriage.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote in a statement released via Instagram.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

Violet Maye
Grohl welcomed Violet with Blum on April 15, 2006, three years after they tied the knot.
The couple named their firstborn after her grandmother with the guitarist describing his daughter as “just perfect,” during an interview with People.
Violet has followed in her dad’s footsteps as she inherited his love of music.
At the age of 2, Violet became attached to an Amy Winehouse record, Grohl previously told the outlet.
“It’s all about the ‘Rehab’ song. If she hears ‘Try to make me go to rehab,’ Violet will go, ‘No no no.’ I know, it’s a little weird, but it’s really cute!” he gushed.
Flash forward to when Violet turned 12, she and her famous father sang Adele’s 2015 hit, “When We Were Young,” at a benefit concert for the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in Oakland, Calif.
Together, the father-daughter duo released a rendition of X’s 1980 track, “Nausea,” in 2021.
“It’s the first time she and I have recorded together, just the two of us,” Grohl shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live at the time. “I’m so proud of it because I love her very much and she’s an amazing singer.”
Violet was also famously featured on the Foo Fighter’s 2023 single “Show Me How,” and performed the song live at the Glastonbury Festival that year.
Harper Willow
On April 17, 2009, Grohl and Blum welcomed their second child.
The duo named Harper after the “Everlong” crooner’s great uncle Harper Bonebrak, per People.
Harper also shares the same love of music, but instead of singing, she learned how to play the drums.
In 2017, Grohl revealed that Harper first expressed interest in playing the drums when she was around 8 years old.
“About two weeks ago, my daughter said, ‘Daddy, I want to play the drums,'” the rocker told the crowd at the Secret Solstice Festival in Ireland in June 2017.
“I said, ‘OK, do you want me to teach you?’ She said, ‘Yes.’ Then I said, ‘Do you want to get up in front of 20,000 people in Iceland and play?’ And she said, ‘Yes.'”
Grohl welcomed his daughter on stage and she rocked out with him to Queen’s 1997 hit, “We Will Rock You.”
That next year, Harper took the stage for the Benioff UCSF Children’s Hospital benefit concert in Oakland alongside Grohl and Violet.
Harper played the drums during a rendition of the Foo Fighter’s 2017 song, “The Sky is a Neighborhood,” while Grohl rocked out on the guitar and Violet on vocals.
Grohl previously revealed Harper took her first piano lesson from the Beatles frontman Paul McCartney during an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” in October 2021.

Grohl’s mystery child
On Sept. 10, 2024, Grohl revealed the birth of his fourth daughter with another woman.
