Meghan Markle dazzled in a classic jumpsuit while making a surprise appearance at a bookstore launch with Oprah Winfrey in Summerland, Calif., on Saturday.
The Duchess of Sussex kept it business casual by wearing a Club Monaco sleeveless black tuxedo jumpsuit ($348 $239) that featured a collar and thick matching belt.
Markle pulled her back into an effortlessly looking ponytail that showcased her diamond earrings and diamond necklace.
Several of the attendees shared Instagram Stories and posts showing Markle supporting the opening of the Godmothers bookstore along with other famous authors over the weekend.
The American Riviera Orchard founder, 43, was photographed smiling and in good spirits while chatting with other authors and greeting Winfrey, who interviewed some of the authors onstage.
At one point, Markle chose to say a few words and stood at the front of the audience while holding a microphone.

Markle’s husband, Prince Harry, did not appear to be at the event, but his bestselling 2023 memoir, “Spare,” was featured on one of the displays, per an Instagram Story shared by the bookstore.
It’s unclear exactly why Markle chose to make a surprise appearance at the grand opening, but the store is located close to her and Harry’s home –– where they live with their two children Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3 –– in Montecito, Calif.
Markle has also formed a strong bond with Winfrey ever since she and Harry broke their silence on why they chose to leave the royal family in a bombshell interview with Winfrey in March 2021.
The famous couple have since been making a life for themselves in the California town, but they have slowly begun to make more public appearances.
Most recently, Markle and Harry, 39, visited Colombia for four days last month to discuss online safety projects and mental health.
The “Bench” author didn’t hold back on her outfits and showed off her chic style in looks designed by Veronica Beard, Johanna Ortiz and Victoria Beckham, among others.
While her Club Monaco style is currently sold out, it is similar to the halter vest and cropped trouser combination by Veronica Beard she wore to kick off her South American tour, both still available in select sizes.
The couple mixed in some fun with their more serious responsibilities and were seen dancing together, taking a drum lesson and even sharing a sweet kiss.
