National Award-winning actor Keerthy Suresh is currently busy with the promotions of her upcoming Tamil film, Raghu Thatha, which marks The Family Man writer Suman Kumar’s directorial debut. In an interaction with Galatta Plus, Keerthy opened up about her big Bollywood debut with Baby John. A remake of Theri, the maiden collaboration between Vijay and director Atlee, Baby John stars Varun Dhawan in the lead role, and is directed by Kalees. Keerthy, who steps into the shoes of Samantha Ruth Prabhu from the original, spoke about the changes that have been made in Baby John.

“Samantha’s character in Theri is very beautiful, and she played it so effortlessly. It is generally scary to do a remake, but for Baby John, I am not scared because the character itself has been done beautifully. It has been picturised very well, and the role has come out very well too,” said Keerthy, who went on to talk about the changes in Baby John. “Well, the story, and everything about it is actually the same. But the remake is releasing eight years after the original. So changes to accommodate the time and space have been made. Also, what really worked in Tamil doesn’t necessarily have to work in Hindi. So, those kinds of changes have been made too.”
