After rumours of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala dating each other, the news of the couple getting engaged at Nagarjuna’s residence surfaced on Thursday. The couple will get engaged in a low-key private ceremony. Naga was earlier married to actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu; the couple got divorced in 2021.
Sources close to Naga Chaitanya told Hindustan Times, “Yes, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are getting engaged on Thursday evening. The ceremony will be a very private and intimate one and will take place at Nagarjuna’s home in the evening. Nagarjuna is likely to be the one who will share the news first on social media.”
Reportedly, the shoot of Naga Chaitanya’s on-going film Thandel is also cancelled for the day, according to a source close to Geetha Arts. The ceremony will reportedly take place at Nagarjuna’s luxurious home in the upscale location of Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad, which is spread over more than 4000 sq feet.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala were dating for a long time after the former’s separation with Samantha. Chay and Sobhita were spotted together on several international trips. The two were spotted together on various ocassions, with photos of each going viral.

Pictures of the actors from Jungle safari also grabbed headlines as the two stars shared photos from the same location around the same time. Once, the actress was spotted in one of the photos of celebrity chef Surender Mohan, where he was posing with the Laal Singh Chaddha actor in London.

While the couple never confirmed their relationship, during the promotions of The Night Manager, Sobhita was caught blushing when questioned about her dating life. The actor who had earlier said that she didn’t see herself “dating an actor”, was asked whether she was “willing to reevaluate her criteria” now. She had replied, “Yeah. I think my judgments have come down a little bit.”
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha announced their separation in 2021 after four years of marriage. The couple shared a joint statement that read, “To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decde that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”
Naga Chaitanya, who made his Hindi debut with Laal Singh Chaddha, has appeared in films such as Ye Maaya Chesav, Premam, Manam, Majili, 100% Love, Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo, Oka Laila Kosam and Dohchay.
Sobhita Dhulipala is best known for the Prime Video web series Made In Heaven and Disney+ Hotstar series The Night Manager. She also appeared in Bollywood films such as Raman Raghav 2.0, Kurup, Major, Moothon, and Ghost Stories. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan and was recently seen in the Hollywood feature Monkey Man.
