Actor Mrunal Thakur has been making headlines for her old comment about cricketer Virat Kohli. In an earlier interviews, Mrunal said that there was a point in time when she had a huge crush and was ‘madly in love’ with him. A social media portal used this statement in their Instagram post, and upon seeing it resurface once again, Mrunal reacted strongly.

While a lot of fans commented on the now-deleted post, Mrunal also took to the comments section and tagged the portal, writing, “STOP IT OKAY”. Her original statement was made back in 2022, when she was promoting her cricket-themed sports film, Jersey, with Shahid Kapoor. During a conversation with ETimes, Mrunal said that she had started liking cricket because of her brother, and there was a time when she was ‘madly in love’ with Virat Kohli.

A lot of fans on Reddit were divided on the tone of her comment. One person wrote, “Why her comment is giving the vibe that the information is true but she’s kinda embarrassed lol.” Another person commented, “Is it me or does that comment sound sarcastic? As in when our friends tease us for our crush we usually say ‘stop it ok.’”
