Panchayat fame Durgesh Kumar, who had earlier detailed his struggle in Mumbai for more than a decade and how the hardships also led to depression over the years, has some good news to share. The actor who found fame as ‘Banrakas’ in the TVF show, shared that he has purchased his first house in Mumbai. On Wednesday, the actor took to his Instagram handle to share the photo of his house keys. He captioned the post, “Apna Ghar… Mumbai mein thanks (My own house in Mumbai)”. However, the actor is yet to share more details about his newly bought property.

Before playing the role of Bhushan, famously known as Banrakas in Jitendra Kumar-starrer Panchayat, Durgesh appeared in small roles in films and on TV. In an interview with indianexpress.com, the actor had revealed that due to financial problems he also had to take up roles in erotic shows such as Virgin Bhasskar–which he described as “adult entertainment”.

Durgesh, who had worked with Imtiaz Ali in Highway and Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies, was out of work for a very long time. Just recently, after the release of Panchayat 3, Durgesh told indianexpress.com, “I would say I am still not getting good projects. I wouldn’t say that there are no projects coming my way at all, but they are mostly independent films. I am not receiving offers for big commercial films, but I am trying to work my way out in whatever roles I have been getting.”

He was supposed to be part of Junaid Khan’s debut film Maharaj, but his shots were edited from the film. He added that his dates are booked for two years with roles in Gangs of Ghaziabad, starring Shatrughan Sinha, Ashutosh Raina, and Mukesh Tiwari as well as Kartavya, starring Saif Ali Khan.
