Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s son, Taimur, became an internet celebrity soon after he was born, and along with him, his nurse became instantly recognisable as well. Lalita DSilva recently shared in an interview that Kareena and Saif were generous employers. She also spoke about how their household functioned in an inclusive manner, where the staff was served the same food that was cooked for the actors. She also addressed rumours of her reported salary of Rs 2.5 lakh per month.

Talking to a YouTube channel Hindi Rush, Lalita said about Saif and Kareena, “They are such simple people. The morning routine is such that the staff, and Kareena and Saif, we all eat the same food. There’s no such thing that there will separate food for the staff. Same food and same quality.” She added that on so many occasions, they would all eat together. “So many times we have all eaten together,” she said.

In an earlier chat during Express Adda, Kareena had said the same thing and mentioned that it is the “rule of the house” that the kids’ nannies sit with them and eat. “My boys’ nannies are eating with them because that’s just the way both Saif and I have addressed it, because Taimur has asked and Jeh is already asking, ‘Why are you sitting there? Sit here’,” she said.

Lalita also said that Saif is a fantastic cook and he would often cook when they went to Pataudi. “Saif sir likes to cook. He cooks very well. I don’t have non-vegetarian food but he cooks very good Laal Maas. He also cooks very good spaghetti, pasta, Italian food,” she said.

Lalita was also asked about her remuneration at the Khan household, and if she was actually paid Rs 2.5 lakh per month for her job. Lalita laughed it off and said, “Rs 2.5 lakh? I wish. Aapke mooh mein ghee shakkar. These are all rumours.” She added that when these rumours started doing the rounds she would joke with Kareena if she was actually going to get paid this much, to which Kareena said, “These are all jokes sister. Don’t take it all seriously.”
