Tabu and Ajay Devgn are two actors who frequently collaborate on the big screen. Their upcoming film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, marks their tenth film together. However, their relationship extends beyond films, as the two have been close friends for decades. In a recent interaction, they spoke about their enduring friendship, with Tabu revealing interesting details about Ajay’s college days.

In an interview with The Lallantop, when asked about their long-lasting friendship in an industry where relationships sometimes end after a film’s shoot, Tabu responded, “Our friendship didn’t start on a set, maybe that’s why it has lasted.”

When Tabu was further asked about Ajay’s younger days and how he was during those times, she revealed that he used to drive quite fast, a trait that, she claimed, hasn’t changed to this day. She said, “He hasn’t changed much. Just that before, he would drive an open jeep, and now he doesn’t, but the speed at which he drives has stayed the same.” Although Ajay refuted this, claiming he drives much slower now. Tabu shared an incident of his fast-driving, saying, “Now also if he offers to drop me, I get scared. One day he stopped my car and told my driver, ‘Bailgaadi chala raha hai kya? Jaldi chala. Meri gaadi peeche hai. (Are you driving a bullock cart? Drive fast, my car is behind you.)'” Ajay defended himself and said this happened 25 years ago.

Explaining his youthful brashness, Ajay added, “I don’t deny it. When you are 18-19, you live life a certain way, and then you understand things and change. This happens to everyone.”

Tabu and Ajay first shared the screen in the 1994 film Vijaypath. They have also starred in films like Haqeeqat, Thakshak, Drishyam, Fitoor, Golmaal Again, De De Pyaar De, Drishyam 2, and Bholaa. Their upcoming film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is set to release on August 2. The film is written and directed by Neeraj Pandey.
