Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif did not announce their wedding beforehand but that didn’t stop the Mumbai paparazzi from surrounding their wedding venue in Rajasthan back in 2021. In a recent chat to promote his film Bad Newz, Vicky recalled his “favourite moment” and said that the first photo that was leaked from his wedding correctly established the mood that he wanted to set for the wedding, and made him laugh a bit.
Talking on Tanmay Bhat’s YouTube channel, Vicky shared, “All the paparazzi and the media that came, they had completely surrounded the venue and they even took over the terraces of the neighbouring village. They were trying to shoot everything with a telephoto lens.” Vicky then recalled the first photo from the wedding that was circulated online. “The first photo that they got was of one of Katrina’s brothers who was visiting Rajasthan for the first time from the UK, sunbathing in trunks,” he shared.
Vicky then laughed and recalled, “Usse sur chhid gaya. Maine kaha ab yeh set ho gaya. Yeh best hai (That set the tone. I said now it’s good. This is great.)”

Vicky and Katrina dated for a few years before tying the knot in a lavish but intimate ceremony. Vicky recently shared that he accompanied Katrina during her first Karva Chauth and observed the fast with her. He shared that while he was quite patient, Katrina got a bit restless by the end. “I am okay with keeping a fast. As actors, we go through diet restrictions and all that so being an actor helps. But she is a Google queen. She asked Google when she’ll be able to see the moon. Google said 8:30 pm. I told her Moon won’t listen to Google, it will come when it wants to. Google can’t predict the movement of clouds. That delay was there and she was like, ‘It hasn’t come.’ I said it’s not like I am calling it. It will come when it wants to. She was completely fine till that time that Google set, 8:30 pm, after that she was like now I am feeling hungry,” he shared with Film Companion.
