After her father Shatruhan Sinha said that he and his wife Poonam are “still waiting to be informed” about their daughter Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding, the actress herself has reacted to rumours doing the rounds that she is all set to tie the knot with her longtime beau and fellow actor Zaheer Iqbal.

Sonakshi Sinha will reportedly get married to Zaheer on June 23. this month. However, in a recent interview the Heeramandi actress said that she finds it “very funny” when people ask her about her wedding plans.

In a conversation with iDiva, Sonakshi said, “Firstly, it’s nobody’s business. Secondly, it is my choice, so I don’t know why people are so concerned about it. People ask me about my marriage more than my parents, so I find that very funny. Now, I am just used to it. It doesn’t bother me. People are curious; what can we do about it?”

Before Sonakshi, her brother Luv too had reacted to rumours about his sister’s wedding. Talking to Hindustan Times, he had said, ““I won’t be commenting. It’s better if you reach out to Sonakshi or the other person. All I can say is I have nothing to say on this matter.”

While Sonakshi and Zaheer have appeared on each other’s social media often, posting love soaked posts about each other and cheering each other, the two of them have been tight-lipped about their relationship. However, Sonakshi had once candidly confessed that she is looking forward to become a bride soon. When Sonakshi appeared on  The Great Indian Kapil Show to promote Netflix’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, Kapil had jokingly mentioned that just as her contemporaries like Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani are married, she should too. To this, Sonakshi had said, “Jale pe namak chirak rahe ho. Woh janta hei mujhe kitne zor se shaadi karni he (He is rubbing salt into my wounds, because he knows how badly I want to get married).”

According to rumours, Sonakshi and Zaheer will tie the knot on June 23 and stars like Salman Khan and his family, her Heeramandi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and co-stars Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal among others are expected to attended the ceremony.
