Moments after reports surfaced about Kangana Ranaut being slapped by a female constable of the CISF at Mohali International Airport, the actor and BJP MP shared a video on her Instagram stories to address the incident. In the video, Kangana assured her fans and well-wishers of her well-being while accusing the CISF personnel of slapping and abusing her during the security check.

“I am receiving a lot of calls from my well-wishers and the media. First of all, I am safe; I am completely fine. Today, an incident happened at the Chandigarh airport during the security check. When I came out after going through the security check, the woman, who was a CISF security personnel, waited for me to pass her and then hit me on the side of my face. She started abusing me. When I asked her the reason behind her actions, she told me that she supports the farmers protest. I am safe, but my concern is about the growing terrorism in Punjab; how do we handle that?” said Kangana.

During questioning, the CISF official claimed that Kangana Ranaut made derogatory comments about the women of Punjab during the farmers’ agitation.

Filmmaker Onir slammed the assault on Kangana and wrote, “Don’t agree with Kangana has to say mostly but this assault is absolutely unacceptable. Those cheering this are asking for a lawless society which thinks assault is the way to address what’s wrong . & those calling farmers protest Khalistani once again are doing the worst damage.”
