Shah Rukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Riders won the IPL 2024 finals on Sunday night and with this, the team marked their third win of the IPL championship. Shah Rukh Khan, who co-owns the team with Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta, was supporting the team through the season has now written a special note celebrating their win. Taking to Instagram, Shah Rukh shared a photo with the team as they help up the trophy.
He started his note by writing, “To my boys…. my team…. my champs….”these blessed candles of the night” …. My Stars…of KKR.” He continued, “I cannot do a lot of things and you cannot do them all either…but together we manage most of them. That’s what @KKRiders stood for. Simply being together. Beyond the ability and guidance of @gautamgambhir55….the earnestness of Chandu, the love of abhisheknayar & leadership of @shreyasiyer96… the dedication of Tendo, @bharathi__arun @1crowey & @leamonnathan… this team is built on no hierarchy just pure respect for collaboration.”
He wrote about Gautam Gambhir’s vision for the team and added, “GG said if u can’t support a single vision as a team….u are leading to a division in the team. Each player understood that. Young and old. The Trophy is not a testament of having the best players in the team….but a proof of each player being the best for the team. Boys you are all made of Star stuff!! Love you all and don’t let the dancing stop! Also, so happy and thankful for each and every KKR fan and I hope all around the world youngsters learn that Tough times don’t last….Finally Tough and Happy teams do! Korbo…Lorbo…Jeetbo….Always. See u all at the stadia in 2025.”

Shah Rukh Khan was in attendance at the team’s second last match in Ahmedabad when he suffered a heatstroke and was hospitalised. The actor recovered soon and was there to cheer for the team’s final match against SRH in Chennai. Shah Rukh Khan has owned KKR since IPL’s first season in 2008.
Shah Rukh Khan is yet to announce his next film officially, although he shared a sneak peek of the film’s name in his recent social media video. Eagle-eyed fans were to quick to point out that the script named ‘King’ was seen lying next to SRK in a video from his home. King is rumoured to star Shah Rukh along with his daughter Suhana Khan.
