Sharmila Tagore and Sara Ali Khan recently celebrated Mother’s Day by gracing an event organised by YFLO in Delhi. The duo opened up about their relationship and answered various fun questions. Sara faced a question about her choice for a modern romantic comedy partner opposite Sharmila: Ranveer Singh or Ranbir Kapoor?

During the chat, Sara was asked ‘If Sharmila Tagore was to star in a modern-day rom-com opposite a young heartthrob?’, Sara picked Ranbir, saying he has the right “class” for it. The actor said, “Ranbir Kapoor. I think that you need class to star opposite badi amma.”

Surprisingly, Sara’s pick didn’t align with her grandmother’s preferences. Sara looked at Sharmila and asked, “So, who do you want? Ranveer Singh?” Sharmila replied, “Why not?” Sara added, “So, Ranveer Singh it is.”

Sharmila previously appeared on Koffee With Karan with Saif Ali Khan. On the show, Sharmila opened up about Saif and Amrita’s divorce and said, “When you are together for such a long time and you have such lovely children, then no break up is easy. Then it is not a harmonious… I know it is difficult to have harmony at that stage, everybody is hurt… so that stage was not nice but I tried. But that’s water under the bridge, she needed time to cool down and they worked it out together.”
