Although nearly two weeks have passed since Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh went missing, the police have yet to track him down. Now, his father Hargit Singh, who filed a missing complaint with the Delhi police, has voiced his concern due to the lack of any substantial information regarding his son’s whereabouts.

Mentioning that what happened is very shocking, Hargit told Times of India that the family is still uncertain about how to handle the situation. “Hum sab bahut pareshaan hain (we are all very concerned) and are eagerly waiting for some update from the police. Hum uske wapas aane ka intezaar kar rahe hain (we’re waiting for him to come back),” he added.

It may be recalled that a day prior to Gurucharan Singh’s disappearance, the actor had posted a reel comprising selfies of him with his father on the occasion of the latter’s birthday. “Very divine birthday father 😍😇❤️,” he captioned it. Recalling that day, Hargit Singh mentioned that there were no celebrations; instead, they spent quality time at home. Reports indicate that Gurucharan disappeared from Delhi airport, where he was scheduled to fly to Mumbai, but never did.

The actor’s friend Bhakti Soni, who was supposed to pick him up from Mumbai airport, shared with TOI that despite waiting for him for a while, Gurucharan never arrived. Despite attempts to contact him, Soni couldn’t reach Gurucharan and assumed he had cancelled his plans. He added that it was only the next day that he learned Gurucharan was missing.

While the investigation is underway, the latest update about the actor’s whereabouts suggested that he withdrew Rs 7,000 from an ATM on April 24 (two days after he went missing) near Palam, Delhi, which is a few km away from his home. Earlier CCTV footage also captured Gurucharan crossing a road in the Palam area on April 22 at around 9:14 pm.

Meanwhile, after reports surfaced claiming Gurucharan Singh was soon to be married and facing financial difficulties, The Indian Express reached out to his family. However, they stated they were unaware of any marriage plans involving him and were puzzled by the origin of these reports.
