Veteran Bollywood actors and one of the industry’s most cherished couples, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, marked their 44th wedding anniversary on Thursday. Their elder daughter and actor Esha Deol celebrated the occasion by sharing a touching, unseen photo of them along with a heartfelt note. Hema also expressed gratitude on social media and shared a video made by a fan featuring their best moments.

Sending her wishes to her parents, Esha wrote, ”Happy anniversary to my papa & mamma. I adore you, i love you and I just want to hug you,” she wrote along with the picture. In the photo, Hema Malini can be seen leaning her head on Dharmendra’s shoulder. While Hema looks beautiful in a floral print kurta in the picture, Dharmendra, looks ‘dapper’ in a green-coloured shirt.

Hema too expressed her happiness of sharing 44 years of her life with Dharmendra. She shared a video made by her fan and wrote, “Our wedding anniversary today! 44 years of togetherness, 2 beautiful girls, lovely grand children surrounding us and drowning us with their love! Our fans &their limitless adulation! What more can I ask of life? Our eternal gratitude to the Almighty for this gift of happiness.”

Dharmendra and Hema Malini tied the knot in 1980 and are blessed with two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Hema is Dharmendra’s second wife, and he has two sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, as well as two daughters with his first wife, Prakash Kaur.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, while Hema Malini is busy with the Lok Sabha elections, contesting for the BJP from Mathura, Dharmendra was last seen in the film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. He is set to appear next in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis.
