The latest episode of Arhaan Khan’s podcast Dumb Biryani had two paparazzos as guests who revealed what goes into clicking pictures of celebrities and how the paparazzi culture works in India. They even spoke about waiting the longest for Shah Rukh Khan, how they had deleted a picture of Ranveer Singh, and also spoke about the moment Raha Kapoor’s picture with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt broke the internet.
In the podcast, both Sneh Zala and Vishal Mohan revealed that today celebrity couples get more traction than individual actors or actresses. They said, “Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone, Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani, Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, they are in more demand.” Sharing more details on how they function, survey popular spots in the city, and also how they cover events, both of them also shared that it is usually Shah Rukh Khan they have to wait for the longest. Sneh shares, “We have to wait the longest for Shah Rukh Khan. When he goes to dub, he takes a lot of time.” Vishal also added, “He comes only post midnight and by the time he leaves, it is 5-6 am.”

Sneh also discusses how he respects celebrities’ privacy and does not click their photos when they are uncomfortable. He says, “Now there is an understanding between the actors and the paps. If they say no and we respect that, next time the artist gives you respect. It has happened to us in the past.” He continues to share that once they stood from 7 am at Juhu and managed to click Ranveer Singh’s look from 83′ but they had to delete it later.
Vishal also shared an incident where Katrina Kaif refused to pose. “Once Katrina refused to let me click her, and one week later she called me outside YRF and gave me proper exclusive photos. Even when she was in a relationship with Vicky Kaushal and it was new, I clicked their picture together, she got them deleted and requested that I should click her solo pictures. Now they are married.”

Both Sneh and Vishal reflected on how staying alert is very important in their profession and also how cautious they are when dealing with children. They also agreed when Arhaan and his friends mentioned that paparazzi culture saw a boost after the NMACC launch event where the paps were seen having fun interacting with Tom Holland and Zendaya.
Lastly, they also revisited the day they clicked photos of Raha Kapoor for the first time with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. “Raha took the internet by storm. It was a big day for us.”
